    How far the Inquisition has come since their defeat at the hands of the Elder One in Haven. The Herald delivered back by near miraculous means has shouldered the mantle of Inquisitor. A new stronghold found in the stone walls of Skyhold. Beyond their fortress, the Inquisition’s reach has grown. The Templars of Therinfal and The Mage Rebellion allied. The threat upon the Empress of Orlais stopped.

    Returning from Halamshiral, the Inquisition arrives to find its stronghold under siege. Enraged at yet another foiling of his plans, the Elder One has sent a force to hamstring the Inquisition at Skyhold. Commander Cullen Stanton Rutherford leads our heroes into battle to once again fight to protect their people. The worst of lyrium withdrawal behind him, the demon that had haunted his steps quelled, will he finally be able to rise anew as the man he was meant to be?

    Lieutenant-Commander of the Reformed Mage-Templar Battalion and Fadewalker, Meira Neria Lavellan, secret twin to the Inquisitor, is so close to seeing her hopes realized. But will she let the darkness haunting her prevent her from gaining them?

    Summary

    I began writing Reprise in November 2015, after having a hankering for a good time travel AU and then being unable to find one that fit my niche craving. I wrote chapters 1 through 3 as a casual experiment, a kind of character study of Ben Kenobi.

    Half a million words and nearly a decade later, here we are.

    The series consists of four main parts:

    “As for the whereabouts of the Chancellor’s assassins, no official statement from the Jedi Council has been released except that any information regarding these two individuals be reported immediately to the authorities.”

    Two grainy images of their faces appear: Cal, sporting a new lightsaber burn across his face and Vos with his dreads flying loose and wild. They must have been taken from the Senate security footage.

    “Did we make things worse? I think we made them worse.” Cal drags his knees up to his torso and hugs his arms around them. He continues to intently watch the Coruscant newsfeed. 

    “…and now, we now go to Reporter Delshie on Naboo, where protests have broken out across the planet…."

    Vos just takes another swig of his Corellian whisky. 

    Two psychometric Jedi receive an assortment of items from the Force. Each object contains echoes, or memories, that tell of a future to come. And it is a very dark future indeed…
