When Darth Maul stabbed Duchess Satine Kryze of Mandalore with the Darksaber, he got a bit stab-happy and stabbed Obi-Wan Kenobi as well. Thus, Obi-Wan and Satine were together in the World Between Worlds/ Manda, starting to fuse together, when Force Ghost Tarre Viszla sent them back to another timeline, 25 years in the past.
Satine wakes up in Obi-Wan's Jedi robes, with his lightsaber and Force-sensitivity, face-to-face with Master Dooku, on the eve of the disastrous mission to Galidraan. When she encounters a brand new Padawan Obi-Wan Kenobi in the Jedi Temple, she realizes that there is currently a 14-year-old Satine Kryze on Kalevala.
Meanwhile, Obi-Wan wakes up in Satine's clothes, a Force-null drag queen. Obi-Wan was expecting a lot of different things when he confronted his fallen padawan on the Death Star. He was not naive enough to expect to survive the battle. No, he was prepared to enter into a peaceful rest beyond. So when Obi-Wan woke in the Healing Halls of a home long destroyed, he was rightfully confused. The Force was not done with him yet, it seemed. The Force had granted Obi-Wan the chance to change the horrific future that awaited them all, and Obi-Wan was never one to disobey the Force’s will. Obi-Wan would change the future, even if it meant he needed to leave the Jedi Order to do it. After all, Obi-Wan was on a sacred mission!
Now, if only these Mandalorians would leave him alone so he could continue his journey, that’d be great! Obi-Wan may look like a child, but he certainly wasn’t one! (The strange childish feelings and urges notwithstanding)
Meanwhile, Jaster Mereel was willing to fight everyone to keep this small Jedi ad safe. As far as the Mandalorians were concerned, the Jedi had lost their claim to the youngling the second he ran away. Even if the youngling seemed determined to go on some strange mission, Jaster would make sure that the ad stayed at home where he belonged.
