Eddie is the first one to collect himself, almost jumping a bit when he raises his head and sees Volt sitting across from him. He keeps quiet though, watching the occasional tear drip from beneath the curtain of his hair and glisten for a moment in the beam of hallway light before landing on his bare thighs. Each drop that falls feels like a knife to Eddie's heart, tiny shimmering signs of how he's failed to ease him through his domdrop.
The sight of you isn't any easier to bear, your skin raw and smeared with dried blood in the worst places. Even the areas spared the cruelest treatment are still a sticky mess of fluids that he can't clean. Breaking you is only enjoyable if he is allowed the privilege of putting you back together again afterwards. Seeing a job as important as this remain halfway finished is far more than unsatisfying, it's heart-wrenching.
