Strictly speaking, this story follows on from my older story 'Lay Your Weapons Down', but it should make sense perfectly well as a stand-alone.

A refreshing take on a post Endgame coming home story- someone gets hold of KJ’s personal logs from Voyager and starts a smear campaign against Chakotay with them. And you know there’s only so long KJ will sit on her hands about it, even with Starfleet directives in place.
The writing is clever and leaves room for emotion to breathe without spelling everything out. The author has a great handle on supporting characters too, who ring true.
It’s been a while since I’ve read a JC fic that has had such a good understanding of the relationship complexities, or made me this excited for the next update.
