Shen Jiu’s body froze instinctively as he readied himself for a blow.
But it never came, because when Shen Jiu managed to look up, all he could see was a man’s broad back swathed in black robes, his grip tight around Qiu Jianluo’s wrist.

It’s hard to keep in mind that SQQ is a bad person originally, I feel strangely bad for him as the Cold War marches on. His behavior is unacceptable tho. I’m loving SY and the world building, I’m looking forward to SY and SQH meeting and clocking each other’s tea.

They’re such a god author it’s insane! I love it sm, I wish there was more alreadyyyy. Neil and Jean have been ravens for 5 years, before Riko’s death allows for their escape. They go with Kevin to the Foxes as an interim before finding a newer, better team. Jean is still reeling from grieving Riko (why lord) and his anger with Neil. Love the exploration of DID in Neil and the various ways it manifests, it feels rlly tactfully done ughhhh I love it!
