“Look what I found,” Chip said, sliding his tongue over his lips as he reached into his pocket to curl his fingers around the mysterious object in question.
It was a necklace. One with a thin, shiny golden chain that dangled from Chip’s fingers as he produced it, the rattling of the beads making a satisfying sound as it unfurled. There were pearls beaded into the links, odd, slightly deformed white spheres nestled neatly between pieces of an opalescent shiny gemstone as well as other similarly colored pearls. In the middle, hanging lowest of the entire necklace and providing most of the weight, was a large opal. It was wrapped in golden wire and looped delicately to the chain.

Chip finds a necklace washed up on shore and gives it to Gillion as a gift. And then weird things start happening.
(This is an incomplete work that most likely will not be finished but I wanted to post what I had for people to enjoy)

“Careful,” a familiar voice says from behind him.
“Caspian?” Gillion tries to twist in place, but the blade slides against his skin with the movement, and he quickly decides against it. “What are you—?”
“Woah, what the fuck?” Chip’s hands fly to the hilts of his swords. “What the hell— Caspian, man, let him go.”
“Be quiet,” Caspian snaps, though his voice wavers; the hand holding the dagger trembles a little. “How do I know it’s you?”

A less than ideal journey back to a slightly rocky reunion with the first mate of the Grandberry Pirates.

It seems like they’ll all be stuck here for a while…

After coming back from the R.A.F.T. compound, Jay discovers that her and her sister Ava were at the center of their own prophecy and the reason why her sister was killed. Having now all of her grief and anger in the forefront so suddenly, Jay struggles with how to deal with them while stuck on a ship in the bleakest sea she has ever been in. Getting a new magical ability in the middle of it all doesn't help.
Or Jay is struggling a lot. Chip, Gillion and the rest of the Riptide pirates try to help. It still isn't easy.
