Summary
Sometimes, when Grian was up and about, Mumbo found himself watching him from afar, easy to find from his laugh if nothing else. He was liked by everyone in the office, able to make conversation with all staff and dodge questions he evidently didn’t want to answer by wordlessly slipping off onto the next person, and Mumbo couldn’t help but find it fascinating. He knew, logically, he also tended to get along with everyone, and would eventually know everyone in the office beyond just their names, but it didn’t change his admiration.
Of course, Mumbo was among the people in the office, and therefore a victim of Grian’s distraction more often than not, especially with their desks being so close together.

Summary
It was nights like these where he sat in bed, wrapped up in a blanket, with Scar snoring like a boar beside him. Grian asked when they first built their tower why they couldn’t have separate rooms. Scar never gave a good enough answer, and eventually Grian stopped asking. That aside, Scar himself slept shirtless. It felt like he was mocking Grian. Like he was saying “oh, look at me Grian! I don’t get cold!” Insulting.
Or
Grian is part parrot and gets really cold during desert nights. Scar is really warm. Whatever will Grian do?

!!!!!ITS CUTE AND FLUFFY I PROMISE!!!!!Grian tilted his head slightly tracing the line of Scar's jaw with his thumb and letting the other man bend him backwards as the kiss depend. It was a beautiful harmony, just the two of them and the sound of the heavy rain.
After a while, and it was a while indeed, Grian pulled away and buried his head into the crook of Scars neck. His heavy breaths were hot against Scars bare chest. Could any moment be as perfect as this? Could anything rival having someone so close to you like this?
OR:
After a long day of Fishing Grian calls up his favorite guy, after all nobody would pass up the opportunity to spend a night in the the horde of pillows and blankets that Grian calls a bed.

Mortified and a little offended, Grian snapped, "What's so funny?"
"Nothing, nothing," Scar said, in a tone that implied there was absolutely something.
"I don't buy that for a second," Grian hissed. He reached up, missed the first time, and eventually managed to get his fists curled into the collar of Scar's shirt. It earned him another round of snickering. "Seriously, what kind of trouble's up your sleeves tonight? Are you just determined to make these next few minutes hell for me?"
"Oh? Little ole me?" Scar feigned innocence. "How could I possibly be bothering you, G? All I've done is get comfortable."
Further adding to the issue, he gave Grian's hips a teasing squeeze.

Summary
The man hovering over him leaned back, releasing Grian completely. Cold night air rushed in to fill the void.
“I guess it’s out in the open now,” the stranger hummed. “Shame. I wanted to avoid this.”
With the additional glow occupying the space between them, Grian was finally able to catch features that were lost in the prior darkness. His curiosity outweighed all else, and he drank them in greedily. As soon as he saw who sat across from him, alarms blared in his mind.
This man wasn’t a civilian, wasn’t even a hero.
“Hello, Doctor,” the villain mused. “You were quite the help today.”

Grian is a vet. After a chance encounter in the dead of night, during which he accidentally saves a villain from the brink of death, he suddenly finds himself entangled in a world beyond anything he could've ever imagined.
