Michigan. That damn state was the bane of your existence. Really, if your parents never decided to settle down there and ‘build a life’, as they so put it, you wouldn’t even be in this situation right now. They could’ve chose someplace warm, someplace nice, where the people were actually normal and drugs weren’t around every corner of the small town you hailed from.
But no, you just had to live there. And now, moving to the town of South Park, Colorado with your aunt was the last thing you wanted to do. One small, cold, terrible town to another small, cold, terrible town. This shit sucked.
You just want to forget all about what happened down in Michigan (curse your old friends to hell), and breeze through the remaining school years here. But fuck that, apparently, cus South Park has a gaggle of super heroes and a number of people that want to make it as difficult as possible.WARNING:
This story contains mentions of underage drug usage, underage drinking, mentions of sex, heavy themes of grievances, death, mental illness, and terrible people all around.
All characters are aged up to 17-18!

I'm reading this almost 2 years after the last update. Every time I finished a chapter I tapped the kudos button. One time wasn't enough, or two, or three, or one per chapter.
While reading I felt completely immersed in every word, it was almost hypnotizing. Every tap, every rewind seemed to add more tension to my body and mind than I ever thought a story could.
In the time reading here in Ao3 I've left very few coments because I don't feel the need to express my reading experience to anyone but myself, however this story made me FEEL. Cinematic works easily convey certain emotions to you through the visuals, the arrangement of scenes, the soundtrack, the acting an so on, whereas literature has none of those things ro rely on, relying solely on words and the reader's imagination and it's impressive how it can be as magical as cinema. Your work has awaken something deep inside my soul and I thinks it's beautiful. Thank you so much, author for this. I was disappointed when I discovered it wasn't finished, and might never be; it still didn't stop me from enjoying the avaible content. I will remember this story for the rest of me life, no kidding, I will be old, perhaps in my final days looking through my bookmarks —the record of reading journey here— and will encounter 'tell me who you want to be (and i will set you free)' by usernot_found and remember every tiny detail, the way I spent my entire day absorbed in every single letter and I'll smile, because it has a special place in my heart.
I don't know if there is a possibility of another update, another chapter, another moment for me to disconnect from reality. I genuinely hope there is. If not then, I'm glad you enjoyed yourself while writing and I enjoyed myself while reading it. Thank you.
