Maverick feels himself tense up. He doesn’t want to hear about Slider moaning someone else’s name. He deflates in his seat, waiting for Ice to ruin his chances by admitting that Slider lusts for someone else and that this was just some pity flirt between the two of them.
Ice must notice his dejected face because he rushes out through a breath, “Yours. He moaned out your name.”
Maverick pauses. His stomach drops and his thighs press together. He can feel the way his face burns at the admission and it’s everything he’s been waiting to hear, but he can’t bring himself to look at Slider or say anything. All he wants to do is get up, swing a leg over Slider’s lap, and plop down so that he can pull him into a fierce kiss.
OR
Maverick doesn’t believe Slider when he boasts about his dick size. Ice sets him right. Along with exposing that Slider has a cock piercing… and the fact that he has feelings for Maverick.

But Jake's known for almost his whole life that this is what is expected of him, and so he's determined to find a good patron and get it over with so that he can get a leg up in the world. It's only a four year contract, after all, and Jake can make it four years, right?
(An au based on the historical fact that in Ancient Rome, there used to be older man/younger man sexual relationships where the older guys mentored and introduced their boy toys to important business contacts and in return got cute boys warming their beds and they seem like they were actually pretty wholesome mentorships and shit)
