Summary
Naruto has always been especially bad at letting his anxieties and insecurities fester, but when Sasuke ends up gone on a mission for over a month, leaving Naruto to deal with a sudden illness and preheat on his own, he lets them get the better of him.
tl;dr: Naruto has a generational mental breakdown after being left alone in a very vulnerable state thanks to Sasuke's month long assignment. Sakura and crew try their best, but at the end of the day it's up to Naruto's alpha to pick up the pieces and put him back together again.

What he didn't expect, though, was for his father, the Emperor Zen'in, to marry him to the warlike Itadori kingdom in a political alliance.
He wanted to hate the new kingdom. The rough soldiers, the desert life, the way everyone seemed to just speak their mind bluntly rather than taking the time to be polite. He wanted to hate his fiancé, Itadori Yuji, the way he grinned all the time and laughed in a playful cadence. Princes were meant to act refined, and Yuji was everything Megumi disliked.
But hatred is a pretty hard emotion to carry in the face of freedom.

The pure-blood is a Death Eater who dies some time later, and Voldemort ends up appearing at his wake to become obsessed with Harry (as he should).
