    The One Ring has been destroyed. Dol Guldur has fallen. As Mirkwood begins to recover from the damage wrought on it by Sauron’s forces, Thranduil rejoices in the new life flowing through his beloved forest. He begins clearing the remaining spiders out of the forest, re-named Eryn Lasgalen in recognition of the new age. But as time passes, the spiders begin appearing once more, bringing darkness and destruction with them. Thranduil struggles to hold back the darkness as the forest he loves begin to succumb.
