Summary
The Blood Eel only knows pain and isolation in its world. Others have come searching for answers, only to learn in the end that death is the only one that matters. But then it meets Simon. As it unmakes him it catches a glimpse of something its never seen before, Happiness. It wants to learn about it, yet Simon doesn't know it. It goes to throw him away, but then he utters a prayer.
Hail Mary, full of Grace
The Blood Eel searches the cosmos and comes across The Hail Mary, occupied by Ryland Grace, and it decides this is what Simon was asking for. So it obliges.
What follows is the story of two lost souls coming together in a cosmic event, learning together to live, to love, to be happy. All while The Blood Eel looks on, insuring it continues to learn, one way or another.

Summary
Ryland watched as the fire truck passed by his window, the siren briefly drawing out the annoying alarm that was still going off. He observed as people— actual humans walked across the street. Talking. Laughing. The doors to the diner across the street chimed as people left with their orders, the engines of the cars roared, the lights switched from green to yellow and finally red. Up in the sky, he saw storm clouds and smoke that puffed up from the chimneys.
“It’s going to rain…” he whispered to himself, the words coming out far too easily for what the situation demanded. Because against all odds, logic and science.
Dr. Ryland Grace was back on Earth.

After living a couple of years on Erid, Simon eventually passes away from his mutations. Leaving behind his husband to pick up the broken pieces.Then a week after Simon's death, Ryland wakes up in his bed alone. But something's not quite right as the room he finds himself in, should no longer belong to him.
Is he alone with his grief? Or did others follow him here?

Grace is having too much trouble walking on Erid, from his own weight loss during the journey compared to how much gravity Erid has compared to that on Earth or simulated on the Hail Mary.
