Summary
Artiaes, the witch who chose her own name.
Olruggio, the Star of Ghodrey.
Qifrey, the one-eyed witch with a sharp gaze.
The three witches everyone talked about, each one with varying levels of kindness and harshness.
Artiaes told herself she didn’t care about the silly rumors in the Great Hall, told herself she wasn’t trying to prove herself to anyone anymore with such conviction that she actually believed it for a bit. She created an atelier of her own with Qifrey and Olruggio, who both seemed just as eager to leave the Great Hall as she was. Qifrey passed the fifth test with flying colors, taking on four apprentices in the span of two years while Olruggio and Artiaes made themselves known through their contraptions and spells.
Not once did it ever occur to Artiaes how easily their fragile shield of peace could crumble.

Summary
Duncan had recently found out about a Hibernian runaway and his family - or rather, just his daughter - living near Castle Araluen and had him brought in for questioning.
However, the person standing at the castle gates is a small and scared young girl, clutching a bloodied ring and a small stuffed cat.
After some consideration and consulting his advisors, they decide it's best to adopt the young girl while spinning a story to cover the fact that she's not royalty. The people would riot at the decision, regardless, and with the kingdom fresh out of the war with Morgarath, it's not an ideal outcome.

He'd been swarmed with so much paperwork lately that even the mere thought of what he had for breakfast that day was hazy. Summary
No astopage au Ryland grace x scientist! Reader because we need more scientist readers stories.
The reader is a marine biochemist returning from a six week Expedition aboard the research vessel Atlantis. The trip was productive on important to her research but after 6 weeks of working 12 hours on 12 hours off on a ship she's ready to head home and be pampered by her loving husband.
Why is the character a scientist getting off of a research vessel A because it makes sense of the story and B because research vessels are awesome and deserve more attention.
The title is a reference to the Simon and Garfunkel Song because I thought the themes of that song made sense for this story.
