Grabby Bastard glances at Fives and he can see how the Arkanian's eyes flick across his body. Fives imagines the reassuring heft of his vibroblade in his hand. It's extra pointy for this fucker - excellent for stabbing. Fives might start at his kneecaps.
"Oh? How so?"
"It will listen to you as long as you keep it apart from the rest. It's protective of the others."
The mocking in the Palliduvan wanker's tone brings the imagined number of kneecaps removed in Fives' mind to four.
With the mission having gone sideways; Fives and his men find themselves captured and a long way from the GAR.
But they are Fives' men to protect and ensure they return to their brothers, and his brothers' wellbeing is always Fives' priority.Series

Summary
A descent warning flashes across his HUD and Cody immediately disregards it. Cody strains, the jetpack blisteringly hot against his armour. He can feel the heat as it breaches the plating, plastoid melting under the sustained burn. A warning trills shrilly inside of his helmet, as if Cody himself can't feel the fire licking the back of his thighs.
Cody ignores it all to the best of his ability, his focus narrowing on Fox’s falling form as his own breathing turns to ragged gasps inside his helmet. With a herculean groan of effort, Cody's fingertips finally brush Fox’s armoured leg.

Thank you to W*B Server for running this lovely little event - I had a lot of fun with this. I went for a different format this time, just to play around with lots of tiny moments in time centred around Boil's bunk.
Now, you can pick your path for this series: number two in the series is a canon compliant angst-filled fic. So, either you can read it and then read the canon divergent fix-it in fic number three in the series, or skip straight to three from one if you want to keep on the fluff/hurt/comfort train!
I've split this series up intentionally for those who do not wish to be walloped in the feelings mid-fic 😂 I gave myself emotional damage writing number two

“Great, you’re in,” the Jedi says. “Welcome to the Jedi Temple on Coruscant, Mrs. Lars. Your quarters and uniform will be assigned to you shortly. Padawan Skeft will be here to escort you, please wait on the other side of this door.”
Shmi stands and nearly tumbles over herself.
“That’s it?” She asks, straightening her dress and bag.
The Jedi sniffs.
“That’s it,” they says. “You can—“
“I thought it would be more difficult to persuade you,” Shmi says.
“Ma’am,” the Jedi sighs, “We are an equal opportunity employer. Through the door, please.”(Shmi Skywalker is assaulted by too-real visions of her grandson in pain in the future. She gets a job at the Jedi Temple in order to prevent that from happening and soon after finds herself on a warship.)
