First it was an escaped demon, then the novices accidentally let lose a hydra, then Shuma-Gorath tried to invade for the 59th time, then some crazy witch reanimated a bunch of corpses, and now Stephen has just finished fighting off an evil inter-dimensional slug. He’s not sure he’s ever been so busy in his life, including when he was the top neurosurgeon at one of New Yorks finest hospitals.
Now the Avengers are calling. Agamotto help him.

“No offense, Cap, but maybe the support group bullshit doesn’t work on emotionally constipated Russians,” Tony sipped from his mug.
“Support groups aren’t bullshit,” Steve scoffed and hid his ring on the chain inside his tee shirt.
“I said no offense,” Tony countered, figuring not asking might get him the answer sooner.
“If Bucky did something like that, I don’t think I’d be able to forgive him.”
“Even in death?” Tony wondered out loud, growing more and more interested in the conversation as it went on. This was one of the rare times when he actually considered his teammate to be a real person and not just a science experiment, or the army’s wet dream. It was one of those rare times Tony genuinely liked him as a person.
In other words: I fixed Endgame because it pissed me off. And then I went into Phase four because I was having fun.
