People like Chris Redfield were easy to love. People like Leon S. Kennedy were not. This was just the way the world worked.
Leon was only getting older. It seemed every turn he took, he fell further and further into the hole he was digging for himself. The only thing he could do know was starting planning an exit. The only wrench in his plan is the unending stubbornness of Chris Redfield, who can't seem to leave him alone. After a mission that they're forced to complete together, they keep running into each other despite Leon's wishes. He would have to spell it out for Chris; there was no saving him now.

It was a regular Thursday night when Chris got home, his mind already on what they’d have for dinner. There were leftovers from the night before in the fridge, and they probably should do the sensible thing and eat them before they’d go bad, but at the same time he really felt like ordering a pizza after the exhausting day he’d had. He deserved something nice, he thought inwardly, already drafting his best plea so he could convince Leon of forgetting about the leftovers for today.
Every single thought about dinner absolutely evaporated from his mind the second he swung the front door open. From the front door he had a clear view to the doorway that led to their living room, and Leon was standing right there, leaning against the doorframe, watching him with a small grin dancing on his lips. He was wearing a black see-through dressing gown, and underneath that thigh high black lacy stockings and matching underwear.
