Summary
So, they had done it.
After singing it again and again, telling the story over and over, Orpheus and Eurydice made it out of Hadestown. Hades had changed, and realized his mistakes. The King of the Mine began to work harder to fix his wrongdoings and to rebuild Hadestown into something better, something to show how the world could be.
Safe to say, not everyone believed the man with a silver whistle and a golden scale could change.
The more Hades worked to adjust Hadestown into something else, the more rebellion ensued. Hades let Eurydice and Orpheus go, so why not them? It is a little difficult to forgive the guy who made it your fate to forget yourself and build his wall, after all.
As problems build, Hadestown gets more dangerous for its king. And there’s only two people who can “show the way.”
