    Summary

The question isn’t one he hadn’t been prepared for but still hearing it out loud makes him pause. In an instant, a very clear figure comes to mind. An alpha who oozes, sex and possessiveness in his every movement. The true King of Gotham if Tim had his say. Though he hasn’t seen under the helmet he knows for sure that if he did he wouldn’t be disappointed.

The name leaves his lips despite his self-preservation instincts. It’s so quiet that a hush falls over the conference. The vicious report smirks as if she’s won something. It pisses Tim off enough that his facade wants to drop. If only to scowl at her.

“ Could you repeat that Ms Drake? “

Tim takes a breath. It’s his chance to change his answer. To say something vanilla and sweet that the people want to hear. The idea of that, however, of lying twists him up on the inside more than he wants to admit. He musters a candied smile. All to soften the words.

    “ The Red Hood. “

The silence is suffocating as several people’s mouths hang open and agape. Some omegas nod in understanding while Alpha’s pale at the announcement. Before he can lose the nerves he tacks on a cheeky “He can get it. “

“There is nothing in this city that I do not know.”

One small alteration of a set universe can cause drastically different outcomes. Jason Todd surviving the Joker’s murder attempt leads Timothy Drake down a different path, away from Batman, but not totally away from Robin.

    “Why are there reporters-”
Dick stopped. His eyes locked on the TV.
“Oh, look at that Drake- you’re trending on social media.” Damian offered far too coolly to be any form of casual.

“It’s always nice to know how disposable we are to them, isn’t Replacement?”

“Jason?” Tim’s head snapped up, tension coiling all through him.

“Don’t worry though, we’re gonna prove them all wrong again.”
