Sanemi breaks through it by accident, mid-fight, covered in blood, and the first thing he sees is the most beautiful creature in existence standing barefoot in a spring asking him what death smells like.
He does not recover.
OR A Hades and Persephone AU where Persephone wasn't kidnapped—he just climbed into Hades' lap and refused to leave.
