A hissing echo, already fading into the vast emptiness of the basement levels of the Capital, is so out of place that Peeta freezes, his heart feeling like it’s trying to jump through his chest. It sounds like something akin to a snarl, and he’s back in the arena, facing canine Mutts with Tribute eyes, or in the sewers, with a swarm of lizard-people, coming for his heart.

Summary
The historical record showed that Jason Todd died, joyriding, at 16 years old, in 2010. If he hadn't died, he would have grown up to have primary access to one of the largest mega-corporations in the early 21st century.
The Director sends a Traveler. The historical record left out a lot.
It's enough to (mostly) disrupt the process.

The collar was a plain thing, dark synthleather that nearly blended into the wolf daemon's thick fur. The daemon herself held uncannily still, making it easy to read the tag which hung from the front. On one side, the Republic's crest. On the other, the number the clone had identified himself with, "CC-2224."
Aka all the self-indulgent whump that won't fit in my other daemon AUs.

Hobbs didn't think it was a problem that Deckard Shaw had been hit by a witch-curse. That sort of shit happened to everyone. The actual problem was that the curse hadn't been meant for Deckard Shaw at all—it was meant for Owen Shaw, and that was when big brother Deck got slapped with a two-for-one, big-fucking-deal, problematic problem.
Because Owen Shaw didn't do things by half-measures, and neither did the people trying to curse him.
