In which Ajax stumbled across a battered stranger left in an alleyway and decides to take him home and patch him up - call it his good deed for the year, if you will.
After an accident leaving him severely injured and unable to return to his mantle of the Geo Archon, Zhongli chose to remain incognito in a mortal vessel - the success of such a decision was debatable though, considering the auburn-haired boy who practically wrangled him back to his apartment.
But the mortal Ajax was quite the enigma; tainted by the Abyss with calloused hands and battle-ready instincts, juxtaposed with a gentle and generous nature. Ajax was a puzzle of a human being, and Celestia knew how Zhongli loved a good puzzle.
