Summary
Alex Rider isn't quite sure what love is.
How can he be, when the shaky foundations of his life are crumbling under his feet and the people who are supposed to protect him are doing their level best to help the decay along?
It's less a question of when he'll fall, and more of where he'll land once he hits the ground.
-----
Complete rewrite of an old story. The old version can still be found on ffnet, but the new version here will have some significant changes in plot, scene order, etc. Chapters tagged with 'wip' haven't been edited yet.

Summary
Jayce knew it was going to hurt when he saw the first fissure in the crystal.
His second thought was relief that he was the only one in the lab.
He felt oddly numb. He brought his hand in front of him. The effect was….unsettling. Moving quickly his body could not seem to keep itself together. Particles of his skin floated in the wake of his hand.

Summary
Midoriya Izuku is medically quirkless, not technically homeless, perpetually exhausted and doing his damned best despite it all. He also sees spirits, which might be cool if not for the fact that a) no one else does, b) they really don't like him very much, and c) he's pretty sure the heroes now think he's a villain working for the League.
Aizawa Shota just wants to take down Overhaul, rescue Eri, keep his students alive, get some rest, and find out how this Deku kid knows things he absolutely should not know about his personal life and the Shie Hassaikai case.
Unless Nighteye's right, and the kid really is a villain.

Summary
“About that,” Vi says. “How’d you end up here? What did a girl like you do to get tossed into this two-star shithole?”
“Really? That’s how you ask? No subtlety in it?”
“Uh, yeah? I saved you from getting shanked in the shower, so fair’s fair. What’s your deal, topside?”
“Caitlyn,” she says. That isn’t right. That wasn’t the answer Vi was after. Names are easily given away but so seldomly remembered in Stillwater, but it echoes in Vi’s head. She almost doesn’t hear the actual answer. “And though I have no doubt a thousand people have given this answer before, I did nothing. I was doing my job, and then I was here. No trial. No sentencing. No crime to speak of.”

Half a decade into Vi's stay in Stillwater, a topsider turns up, raving about being a Councillor's daughter.
