    Ilya was born a powerful Alpha. He was taught that an alpha’s worth was measured in dominance, victories, and the ability to bend others to his will.

    So when the chance came to claim a disgraced omega as a mate, an omega whose knowledge could lift his struggling team, the Centaurs, he took it.

    That omega was Shane Hollander, once a phenom in the Omega League.

    Accused of throwing a game for an alpha he’d been seeing, Shane was banned from the sport he loved. The Alpha walked away unscathed. Shane bore the punishment alone.

    As part of his atonement, he was forced to attend every match, chained in a public place called the Penalty Box, a humiliating spectacle where he had to watch the game he could no longer play. Fans jeered. Former teammates looked away.

    To become Shane’s mate meant gaining full access to Shane’s tactical mind. Omega knowledge was instinctive and deep and, in a bonded pair, fully open to the alpha. For Ilya, it was a career move. A shortcut.

    Their marriage began as a cold transaction:
    An ambitious alpha and an outcast omega bound by law, not love.
