If Ajax ever found his soulmate, he would pretend to be normal for them. He would observe from afar if possible, and make sure nothing happened to them. That no ailments ever came to them. That they never came to lack anything.

Or, Ajax is Morax' soulmate, the Tsaritsa ships him off to Liyue, and he has to pretend like he doesn't feel like he's not good enough for the Geo Archon.

Ajax had to resist a snort- Rosalyne was anything other than a “lady." He’d need to hold back any of his comments towards her for at least a week in thanks for securing this catch. What a gentleman. ‘Yeah, same here- say, are you always going to wear your helmet like that?’
‘...When I am on duty, yes. This is the proper way, after all,’ came Capitanos response, and Ajax cursed in his head. Damn, he’d never get a chance to see what’s under, huh?
He tutted (a habit stolen from his sister), smirking. ‘What a shame. I’d love to see what’s underneath.’
Okay, maybe a bit too forward… but the knight chuckled.

Wriothesley definitely could not have foreseen that Tartaglia would unite all the prisoners together... by being so motherly?
