His death isn’t an explosion. He is not murdered by a madman with no reason as to why. His mother does not sell him out (he wonders how she takes the news. He wonders if she’ll bury him in the family plot. He wonders if she’ll lay tulips on his grave). He does not bleed out screaming for a father that will never get there in time.
Tim isn’t like Jason.
He dies quietly, huddled into a corner behind a dumpster, hand pressing over a pulsing wound on his right torso.
OR:
Tim dies about the same time Jason is resurrected, and the universe just kind of. Bonds their souls.

“I hit a deer,” Billy says shortly.
“The thing is,” Steve says, he brings his gaze to Billy, “I don’t think you did.”
Billy scoffs. “What the hell is that supposed to mean?”
Steve shrugs. “Whatever you hit, it wasn’t a deer.”
“Oh really?” Billy asks snidely. “Then what was it?”
“The Monster Squad calls it the Mindflayer.”

Eddie and Steve have been spending a lot of time together since Vecna. They're co-parenting kids, getting high every night, and sleeping in the same bed. They basically share a wardrobe too.
He thinks this is dangerous, its like they’re married, the casual sharing of intimacy, this space between them which feels like something and nothing all at the same time. He thinks it’s dangerous for him to pretend Steve sees it the same way, that one day Steve’s droopy, kind eyes are going to see right through him and he’ll lose this. This being a side of Steve’s bed that is his, a nightstand where his rings always pile, a drawer of shirts in Steve’s bedroom that only Eddie uses. He can’t lose it, so he shuts his mouth, turns out the light, and watches the slow breathing of sleep fill Steve’s chest.

And it’s… well, at first Techno thinks it's a human. He’s got rounded cheeks and a small button nose, mouth wide open and yelling. He’s waving his arms around angrily, tiny fingers clenched into a fist. But then Techno looks slightly up, and he can see the pointed, furry ears sticking out from his unruly blond hair. Techno shifts the boy to the side and he can see a tail.
“–me go, you bitch! Fuck you! Let me go!”
A little warrior, Techno thinks as the boy kicks and curses in his fist. Runt, his mind screams, looking at just how small the boy is in his hands.
