Summary
The First Promise, the Resilient Son, the mightiest warrior in Tural - Titles he's borne for years. Zoraal Ja seeks his purpose, even as his father announces his imminent retirement. Even as a rite of succession begins. Even as he grapples with inadequacies and frustrations he does not know how to understand, much less voice. Yet as the star has witnessed countless times, a purpose is something you have to seek inside your own self, not something gifted from anyone else.
Siblings he does not know anymore. A father he admires and resents in equal measures. An advisor helping him for his own designs. And a Throne he desires above all. The end is carved in stone, an inescapable fate, a tragedy soon to come.
Or it would have been, if one man from across the salt hadn't decided to take a gamble, and in so doing changed the course of history. This is the story of Zoraal Ja the First Promise, the miracle son without a cause, and Darren the Warrior of Light, the hero on the cusp of a new adventure, and how their lives become more and more intertwined.

Summary
This was supposed to be a typical bug hunt. The plan itself was simple: locate the hive; rescue any humans found along the way; kill the queen, then the hive; and celebrate with the squad over a few rounds after everything is accounted for; rinse and repeat. Corporal Caleb Grace wasn't expecting anything out of the ordinary, until he meets face-to-face with a yautja hunter deep inside the hive. The pair begrudgingly work together to survive, fighting off the xenomorphs while also fighting off the feelings they have for each other. ;)
