Jeonghan laughs, light and airy. “No, no. She’s in my sister’s grade.”
“That’s it? We’re driving to Jeju for your sister’s classmate?”
Jeonghan sighs. “She… we were friends last year.”
Seungcheol’s frown deepens, until he can feel his eyelashes almost brush his brow bone. “We’re driving to Jeju for someone you’re not friends with?”
He can’t see Jeonghan, but he imagines how he looks, arms crossed and eyes in his lap. “You don’t have people you care about even when you hate them?” Jeonghan says quietly.
