Summary
Scott's voice trails off as someone stumbling on the side of the road catches his attention. It’s a pale, omega teenager, with dead eyes, bruises covering his skin in mottled patches, his hair is tangled and greasy, and covered in blood that seemingly has no origin.
“Uh, sorry… I need to go. Kip, I think, shit. I’ll just call you or text you. Love you.” He doesn’t wait to hear his husband’s response before he hangs up and rushes out of the car.OR
12-year-old Ilya Rozanov was sold after presenting as an omega the day after his mother’s death. 2 years later, he escapes from his abusive alpha and finds himself wandering the streets of Ottawa when he’s rescued by Scott Hunter. Out of fear he accidentally creates a parental bond with Scott, turning the alpha into his new guardian.
Now he gets to live a life never thought was possible. He’s in a home with parents who somehow love him even at his worst, and he’s in therapy learning how to cope with his traumas. Scott introduces him back into hockey, he has teammates and friends, and maybe something more with the Centaurs captain, Shane Hollander.
Ilya just hopes this is a life he’s allowed to have. And hope is a dangerous thing.

Summary
Ilya's wet hand smacked against the glass, his whole body following suit as he slid down against the wet surface.
The glass surface beneath him slid open; his remaining unoccupied hand shakily shot out against the floor to steady himself as he refused to collapse on top of his tiny daughter.
With the last remaining energy he had, he forced out the words
“Please… help”
Everything faded into darkness.

Summary
Alexei loves his brother. He doesn't like the little shit and hasn't since puberty hit and again, they all just assumed it was the natural clash of two underage alphas sharing the same space while biology ran roughshod over every emotion. But yeah… he loves Ilyusha.
And he swore… he fucking promised Mama he'd be a better man, a better Alpha than his father. He promised her, and he knows she's watching him now.
Alexei is sixteen. Ilyusha is twelve. A fucking baby. He can't, no, he won't just sit back and let father do the things he's talked about doing tonight.
They have to leave. Now.
