Knuckles listened. All was quiet. Then huffed, “There is nothing. You had one too many of your chili dogs.” The echidna gave his back to the hedgehog and firmly shut his eyes, intending to return to sleep. The offending hand returned to his shoulder once more, firmly tugging at him.
“Knux,” Sonic whisper-whined, “I know I heard something.”
Houses make all sort of sounds in the night. Nothing to be afraid of. But, it wouldn't hurt to check it out, just to make sure, right?

Summary
Hoth certainly had an appeal. The way the sunlight reflected and glittered off the ice crystals and snow could almost be described as magical. To someone he imagined. Maybe if you were not human or togruta. Obi-Wan Kenobi was human though, and so the frigid icy landscapes were not appealing to him.

Summary
Sonic thought he had the perfect plan to explore the abandoned base. However, he didn't account for Knuckles' very real phobia of ghosts. Their simple mission goes haywire when they can't come to a conclusion in time and Team Sonic finds out that ghosts were the least of their worries that were lurking in the abandoned gun base.

It's been only a few days since the fight with Shadow and Robotnik...s. And Knuckles is still waiting for everyone to wake up.
He's all but alone and getting frustrated with the voices echoing in his head. The remnants of the Master Emerald, calling out to him. They want him to seek them. For what purpose he cannot know. But watching his family-allies-just sleep is endlessly infuriating. It's a tough decision. But he sets out on his own to seek them.
Shadow's dealing with a lot of pain. Pain about his purpose, his body, and most recently, his hunger. But the voices in his head are painfully loud and they won't shut up. They all but drag him onto his feet, forcing him to keep going. Was this his purpose? Was this what Maria wanted for him?
Rouge is so darn pleased with herself. Escaping a few crime bosses is nothing new to her, but a whole new world to steal from? Now that's exciting! And the first thing to grab? How can she turn down a massive emerald.

Summary
Tom and Maddie had their work cut out for them when they decided to adopt three traumatized alien children. By curious happenstance, all three had been isolated and forced to fend for themselves due to circumstances outside their control. However, Tails presented a unique challenge.
While Sonic and Knuckles' circumstances were no less tragic, they spent a few years under the guardianship of someone who loved them. They had memories of being cared for, of receiving instruction on how to navigate the world. Tails had no such memories, and essentially raised himself. The differences between their youngest and his older brothers are subtle and pose challenges, but they’re all committed to helping Tails understand he’s loved and a member of the family.
