Summary
Buck is back at the 118.
Physically, at least.
After everything that happened, things between him and the family he once considered his own are worse than ever. They barely speak to him, and every attempt Buck makes to find his way back to them is met with distance. So he keeps his head down. He works. He takes extra shifts. He tries to prove that he still belongs. But while everyone is busy ignoring him, Buck's health begins to deteriorate.
What he thinks is stress turns into something far more serious. A doctor's appointment changes everything when Buck is diagnosed with leukemia. And suddenly, the one thing he doesn't know how to do is tell the people he loves. And this time, Buck decides he won't be anyone's burden.

Summary
“Captain, please be advised that the patient is Firefighter Buckley himself. He sounds a little out of it - I would guess either from blood loss or concussion. Maybe both.”
“Roger that, we’re thirty seconds out.”
“Good. And, Captain…” the dispatcher seemed to hesitate for a moment, “he said he hit his head on the ladder truck. But… that would mean that he was already injured before his crew left on their call.”
“Well that can’t be right, surely they would have noticed,” Jeshan said.

Post-lawsuit, Eddie snaps and shoves Buck, injuring him just before the station clears out for a call. Alone and bleeding, Buck has to call for help.

Summary
“You're gonna get a call tomorrow from the Chief,” Bobby informed him. “You're being reinstated to active duty. The brass didn't want the headache. They're afraid of the bad press.”
And, just like that, the nerves disappeared, replaced by something far lighter and giddier. “Well -” Buck let out a relieved laugh. “That – that's awesome.”
Except Bobby didn’t look relieved. “Yeah, maybe not. They gave me the option to transfer you.” Buck’s stomach dropped. “They understood how I might not want you back after everything you put us through,” Bobby added. And then – “I accepted her offer.”

In the aftermath of trying to sue the city and the Department and his own friends, Buck finds himself forcefully transferred to a new station. His life may very well change forever because of it.

Summary
After the tsunami hit LA ,Buck is having a hard time trusting himself again. He feels like he is slowly slipping trough the cracks and he is doing it all alone. All he wants is to go back to his family, to be a part of the team again, to be where he belongs. But what if they don’t want him back? What if they don’t trust him either?
…
This is my take on how I think the tsunami-and-Buck-suing-the-department storyline would have effected him and his relationship with Eddie, Chris and the 118. I often feel like they should have made Buck suffer more in the aftermath. (sorry not sorry)Oh also I scratched the whole underground fighting storyline because it gives me the ick. (gave Eddie something else to cry about though) xx
