Summary
Doctor Green Hunter slammed into the wall of the ambulance as it turned a sharp corner. Lady Teal was more reckless than usual today, turning the circle left and right despite the chaos wrought in the back. He felt his pocket and realised it was a little light. She must have drunk from his flask - the same drinking that had booted them both down to ambulance duty. Doctor Green Hunter had once been a trauma surgeon.
Lady Teal had been a famous Formula One driver, before she’d drunkenly slammed her Mini Cooper round a bend, just like this, and broken her race car. The racing bosses had refused to let her have another car because it was too expensive, so she was stuck, just like he was, in the ambulance.
The ambulance lurched again, and Doctor Green Hunter’s hand twitched for his bow, but settled on his stethecope instead as they skidded to a halt.
Soon to be a major motion picture starring Jeremy Renner.
