Genesis is cured of his degradation thanks to the Goddess at the end of Crisis Core, then whooshed away into the past. Fully healed and rightly pissed at Shinra, he decides to recruit and raise his own army (who just so happen to still be kids) to prevent Shinra from ruining everything again.

    What could go wrong?
