In a universe where Katsuki is just a second too late to push Izuku out of harms way, where everything is just a little worse but at the same time not, Izuku is on deaths door. Or bench, whatever.
He doesn't regret it, not one bit, but when faced with the opportunity to end all of this and keep his friends and family save, with the result for him being a fate worse than death, he doesn't hesitate to take it. Dealing with the fallout of his choice is now up to the rest that remained. -

Summary
It is the post apocalypse, and the world as it was known before no longer exists. Shigaraki was dead, but everyone else died with him(as far as Izuku knows). There is no way to restore society with no one there, so without a purpose in life Izuku wanders the lonely world.
Though even that comes to an end when he slips up, literally.But he doesn't die, no. Instead he's given a second chance, another chance to save the world, but more importantly his family. He takes it in full stride, with all the hardships and obstacles that may come.
He is Izuku Midoriya and by god, nothing will stop him from achieving that goal!
Except for maybe the stab wound...

cuteness agression max., I cannot handle them goddamnit, they make me sick and I am devestated to see them part (for now), but!!!! I must have faith! and patience! I shall wait years if that is what it takes!
but actually, rlly love this, how they start off and how their relationship progresses, also like how they can still treat each other as before (mostly), despite realizing their feelings.
also also, love the difference in families and ambition both of them have and how similar in certain aspects both of them still are (like being loners but for different reasons)
and bsh??? 'I will protect him from the mermaids'??? just fucking kill me now, I can't handle this
hope to see more of his sister in ch 2 and how the whole... thing wth ksl is resolved on her end
