Summary
Megumi Fushiguro is 20 years old. He's worked as a solo jujutsu sorcerer for the two years following graduation, and for all intents and purposes, he does a good job - even at the expense of his safety. The one thing he does not do is go back to Jujutsu High. Jujutsu High brings back memories of a man with pure white hair and a whole lot of unresolved issues that Megumi refuses to address.
Until Yuji and Nobara manage to drag him back.
OR, Megumi and Gojo parted ways on a sour note, but Megumi can't run forever.

Sukuna grins, his mouth stretched unnaturally wide across his face. “You really thought the King of Curses could be bound by human flesh?” He tips his head upwards, cackling, then throws Megumi aside. Megumi stumbles, falling backwards into the water. He hates that Sukuna is wearing his face, hates how it’s just wrong enough to make his skin crawl.
“I was biding my time,” he explains. “Anyone paying attention could tell the day you snapped was fast approaching, and you made it so easy for me to watch you.” He appears standing over Megumi, cruel glee shining in his expression. “If you’d been able to stay away from that brat, maybe your imminent destruction wouldn’t have been so glaringly obvious. But no. You fell in love with him.”
Megumi swallows thickly.
“Love is a curse, right?” Sukuna leans down, eyes boring into what is left of Megumi’s soul. “And yet, you could never avoid it.”
megumi's soul shatters, and the pieces are full of love.

Summary
Dazai orders two cabs - one for Atsushi, and one for him and Ranpo; Atsushi doesn’t have it in him to either insist Dazai doesn’t pay for him, or be surprised that Dazai is actually paying for him. The car Dazai ordered for himself arrives first, so Atsushi bids them both a tired farewell; the last he sees of them, Dazai is packing up a half-lucid Ranpo into the cab.
Before the door shuts, Atsushi catches a glimpse of Ranpo lying his head down into Dazai’s lap. He’s too tired to think too much of it, though.or: five times Atsushi doesn't connect the dots about Ranpo and Dazai, and the time it gets spelled out to him.

His words are a promise. A guarantee.
Dazai just smiles at him. It’s not a happy one - it’s bitter, sharp at the edges.
“No one is infallible, Ranpo-san.” They say it like it’s a warning.
Ranpo ignores it. “Guess I’ll prove you wrong,” he grins cockily.
Dazai sighs. “Guess you will.”
They don’t sound convinced.Ranpo, Dazai. The first time they met, and their first kiss. Their final kiss, and the last time they saw each other.

“I want to go home,” Ranpo whispers. Except he doesn’t have one of those anymore. Not really. Not without Fukuzawa. He feels the same as he did when he was fourteen years old, orphaned and alone and starving on the streets of Yokohama. He wants to go home, but home does not exist in the way it once did. Home is nothing but a memory.
“We can take you back to Yosano-sensei’s place,” Dazai offers.
Ranpo shakes their head. “I don’t want to bother her.”
“…Okay. But I know you don’t want to stay here either.”
“I don’t have anywhere else to go.” Ranpo rubs their eyes with the back of their hand. They wish they had their glasses. “I want to go home, but I can’t. I don’t know where that is anymore.”
for the first time since the decay of angels incident, ranpo attempts to spend the night at poe's house. it doesn't go as well as he'd hoped.
