Pokemon...
Something that every generation could only dream would be realistic. Well, that dream soon became a reality.
A wormhole opened up one night and it connected the worlds of both Pokemon and our world into one. Pokemon were now a common sight in this world.
Years later however, some folks found out how quickly companies and even the government enabled a monopoly on Pokemon and made it rather hard for older folks to actually own Pokemon without connections.
One particular man is Eddy Ortiz. An electronics salesman at a smaller electronics store chain. He always watches on his phone at people having Pokemon battles and the annual World Championships.
Without a Pokemon to call his own, he watches in jealousy at other people having Pokemon. This jealousy is further fueled when one of his co-workers shows off the Pokemon they had just received, a Litten, and he asks to go home early since it was a slow day and that he just wants to wallow on his own.
He's given permission to head out early and he drives home late at night. He stops at a gas station to grab some drinks and snacks. It is until he spots something watching him from the corner and he follows after it...

He actually lives even more recluse at home. He lives alone. His parents were killed in an accident just before he started his sophomore year and with no family to take him in at the moment; he’s been living on his own in secret.
His routine to keep this a secret is to get up early for school, head to school, and head home on the same route every day. It doesn’t matter if it’s storming or not. His route is far from any other normal route for students, so he isn’t seen by any of his classmates.
It is until a massive storm hits the city and causes flash floods and tornado warnings all across the county and surrounding ones. He still takes the same route home and this time… a classmate sees him…

So the leader of the Shen 20K send his daughter and son to Chinatown in Los Angeles, California in order to begin their empire on US soil.
Lei Shen is his sister's lieutenant/enforcer. He is loyal to his sister, Feng Shen, and does everything she tells him to do without thinking twice about it. He is ready to give his life for both his sister the Shen 20K. However, when his sister orders him to begin their empire with zero nonsensical bloodshed, he finds it hard to do as she says.
This becomes more difficult when he saves a high school girl who happens to be the daughter of the police chief. She too wishes to end the gang violence in Chinatown. He knows that the only way to do that is to make sure the Shen 20K has complete domination in Chinatown. However, can he do that without bloodshed? His father taught them Family, Loyalty, and Tradition. But his sister were going against those traditions. He still wishes to support his sister, but can he find it in himself to defy the traditions that their father taught them as kids?
