Summary
A silence blankets the air around them. Wei Wuxian closes his eyes and recaps the last couple of minutes: him asking (a little crudely) what happened, the juniors looking like Lan Wangji had just announced his deep hatred for rabbits, Lan Wangji himself looking like he’d just announced his deep hatred for rabbits, both of them asking the same question, and—
Realization seeps into Wei Wuxian's bones.
He looks up at Lan Wangji, and Lan Wangji is staring right back at him, and Wei Wuxian’s lips are still tingling, and Lan Wangji is still poking at his own.
“You’ve got to be kidding me,” Lan Wangji groans.
At the same time, Wei Wuxian murmurs, “Ah.”
(In which Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji investigate a curse and get cursed instead. Everything they try to say comes out of the other person's mouth. It can only go downhill from there.)

Summary
Lan Wangji feels his heart break. He wishes he could scoop the children up and hide them somewhere, where nothing will ever hurt them again. “Please, all of you eat,” he pleads. “There will always be enough from now on. It is my promise.”
“You’re too good, Hanguang-jun,” Wei Wuxian sighs. “You’ll make a wonderful father someday.”
“I will have learnt from the best,” he nods at Wei Wuxian. The man’s cheeks fill with colour so pretty, Lan Wangji has to turn away entirely in order to breathe again.
———
A storm thunders violently, the forest howls in pain, and children are disappearing into the night. Amongst it all, Lan Wangji encounters a strange, beautiful man. And his five children.

Summary
Wei Wuxian opens the letter and skims through, feeling his frown deepen with every line. “Oh. A request from Yiling. This man Tong Shen writes, 'I can’t explain what’s happening — you wouldn’t believe me if I tried. The hills are moving and they are hungry. Please send aid, Hanguang-jun, this humble one begs you.' Well, my curiosity is certainly piqued."

A few months after the events of Guanyin Temple, Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji take on a night hunt of an unusual sort: The Burial Mounds are spreading, quickly and with no apparent explanation.
In Wei Wuxian, it brings old, long-buried things bubbling to the surface.

Summary
When Wei Wuxian was sent by his master, Baoshan Sanren, to liberate an ancient beast, he didn’t mean to start a war. But, with Wen Ruohan’s second son dead at his feet and the other sects caught in the sword glare, Wei Wuxian has ignited tensions across the cultivation world.
What no one expected was for Baoshan Sanren to descend from her mountain and join the campaign on behalf of her favourite disciple.
While the rest of the cultivation world sees Wei Wuxian as a beacon of hope, Lan Wangji sees a smiling boy who held out a hand in the dark. As the two fight side-by-side on the battlefield, they grow closer and closer—until Wei Wuxian faces an impossible choice.
He has to choose between his home and his heart.

Summary
"Well, if I’m already breaking so many rules," Wei Wuxian mused, shifting forward on the rooftop, "What’s one more?"
Then the tile beneath his foot shifted. He barely had time to curse before he was slipping, the rooftop tilting under him, the wind rushing past—
And then, strong hands grabbed a hold of him.
Wei Wuxian gasped as he was caught mid-fall, firm arms locking around his waist, pulling him against an unyielding chest.
It was embarassing really, just how quickly Wei Wuxian fell for Lan Wangji, the first time they met. Maybe that was why he kept making a fool of himself every time they ran into one another.
Or in which, Wei Wuxian falls completely, utterly, head over heels in love with Lan Zhan the first time they meet.

Summary
“He will not be swayed. He does not see reason. At least not my reason,” Lan Wangji adds as an afterthought. Wei Ying is many things, but not unreasonable.
“Reason is often not the most persuasive argument,” Xichen states mildly. “Perhaps there is another way that his stance can be influenced.”
Frowning, Lan Wangji asks, “What way?”
He eyes him from the side. “One that appeals to his heart rather than his mind. His heart, and… well. His body.”

Summary
Though the Cultivation War ended nearly two years ago, Wei Wuxian and the Wen Remnants are barely surviving. When Wei Wuxian hears of a Marriage Competition for Lan Xichen's hand, the solution becomes obvious: go to the Cloud Recesses, get Lan Xichen to fall in love with him, and save his family from certain death.
Wei Wuxian is clever and charming, and becomes fast friends with the First Jade. Everything is going well, but for one small problem: Lan Xichen's angry younger brother, who occupies far too many of Wei Wuxian's thoughts.

Accidentally cursed, Lan Qiren is forced to live within Wei Wuxian's mind for days, experiencing his every thought and sensation. Much as he disapproves of demonic cultivation, resistant as he is to every excuse, he can't help growing to understand the young cultivator.
After leaving Lan Zhan to his important work as the Chief Cultivator, Wei Wuxian travels the world. Adventuring, righting wrongs, and developing new talismans is great fun, but what he really wants is a home.

Summary
Most would find it beneath their station to even consider travelling out. But not Hanguang-jun. Beneath a cold jade exterior, beat a heart warm and compassionate. For him, duty and love were not always so different. No matter how insignificant, he would always be there for those in need.
Wei Wuxian never needed convincing when it came to Lan Wangji. It was more than the will of some greater force—Wei Wuxian would always long to be by his side in this second life. But before they had set out from Gusu, he had uttered a single sentence that only tempered his resolve further.
“It's taking the children.”
A visit to a village with a little corpse problem leads to a little more than Wei Wuxian or Lan Wangji bargained for.

Summary
“Hanguang-jun,” Wei Wuxian repeats. His heart clenches. He wants—but he’d really meant to have this nightmare stuff down before they met again, so he wouldn’t find himself relying on Lan Wangji’s nearness. He’s not supposed to go back yet. But he’s so tired, and his will crumbles. “Yeah,” he says. “All right. Take me back to Gusu with you.”

Summary
“Seems like it worked,” says a nearby voice. There’s a faint undercurrent of excitement in it, bordering on glee. Like a child about to get a red packet for the New Year.
Wei Wuxian looks in the direction of the speaker with a flinch, the light streaming in from the entryway momentarily blinding. He barely manages to stay upright, holding the bleeding arm close to his middle and balancing on the other.
What the fuck is happening?
“I guess he wasn’t so useless after all,” a second voice says. This one is calmer, and familiar to him. His eyes lock onto Jin Guangyao’s ever-pleasant face, then note the punk hanging back half a step behind him, grinning wide and looking a little manic.
“Welcome back, Yiling Laozu,” Jin Guangyao says.

Summary
Jiang Cheng seethes, gripping the bridge of his nose. “I don’t know how to help you,” he admits, “so I’m sending you to the people that do.”
It nearly slips out then, the truth of the matter. Wei Wuxian opens his mouth to snap back ‘There’s no helping me, not now!’ but the words stick in his throat. Shijie is crying and Jiang Cheng is defiant and Lan Zhan is staring at him so earnestly that Wei Wuxian simply doesn’t know how to tell them all that he’s living on borrowed time.
So he doesn’t.
---
At the behest of his siblings, Wei Wuxian is sent to Gusu to recover from the strain of the Sunshot Campaign.
If only he knew how to do that.

Summary
Wei Wuxian would have thought that the dragon’s voice would rattle the trees, shake the earth with its force. Instead, his voice is small and a little raspy. He speaks slowly, as if it is difficult to speak at all.
“I accept....your offer,” he says painfully. “You know....the price? No leaving...until this season comes again...do you understand?”
Wei Wuxian doesn’t feel fully in his body as he nods. “Yes.”
---
Increasingly desperate, Wei Wuxian turns to unconventional means to help the Wens. If one can call trading away a year of his life to live in a secluded estate with a mountain spirit 'unconventional'. Or, the 'east of the sun, west of the moon' one.

While reeling from a mysterious kiss he receives on Phoenix Mountain during a hunt (maybe going blindfolded was a bad idea?), Wei Wuxian stumbles across a curse array and finds himself transformed into a rabbit. In the middle of a hunt! Good thing Lan Wangji is there to rescue him...or is it? Hasn't Wei Wuxian been spending the last three years trying not to get dragged back to Gusu?

Summary
What if, before Wen Chao found Wei Wuxian in Yiling, Lan Wangji went looking for him?
What if...
"Tell me who did this to you."
"Aiya, Lan Zhan, I really don't know what you're -- ah!"
Lan Zhan tugged hard on the blue line that bound them together, and Wei Wuxian all but flew across the room, crashing into the bed with a pained groan and sinking to his knees on the floor. He supposed, slightly hysterically, that this must be something like what Jiang Cheng had felt when he had hit Wei Wuxian with all the force of a biting insect the day after his rescue.
"You have no spiritual energy."
"Haha, Lan Zhan, that's funny, because actually it's just that I --"
"You have no golden core."This diverges from MDZS canon rather than CQL (so no yin iron, etc)
Title from Sunlight by Hozier (which is SUCH a wangxian song it actually causes me pain)

Fuck, he had totally walked into a set, hadn’t he? The beautiful, ethereal looking actor in his period piece outfit was pissed and waiting to tear him a new one, if the expression was any clue.
One moment the man was up, and then, the next second, he had gracefully jumped from the wall in front of Wei Ying, who, only by the strength of his will, did not scream in alarm.
He did yelp a little. But very manfully.
“No entry after sunset,” said the man, and his voice was deeper than Wei Ying could’ve guessed. “How did you get past the wards?”
