    Good premise

    The execution smacks of ‘male raised in feminism’, but distinct from ‘male feminist’ that is, narrative choices indicate author being a blooper
    The humour indicates millenial-generation author

    Does that harem-anime thing with indescribably dense protagonist where it teases and teases and teases sex but doesn’t follow through.

    It does that thing where the behavior of the sexes is swapped, with women being platantly horny and men acting scandalized but secretly enjoying it.

    This was written in the mid-2000s and it shows. The work is worth studying to see the immense gulf in implicit assumptions between then and now

    By that I mean, the author was an orthodox feminist of 2006, but Overton has shifted quite a bit since 2006. Specifically, Harry’s first scene with River would have had him flayed by the metoo crowd.

    Overall, the story was best in it’s establishing chapters and dropped in quality as time went on.

    I have noticed a habit, the habit to introduce a man having an alpha dgaf manner, then hotswitch that out once bona fides has been established with audience. With sufficiently short works the momentum can carry him(see KPDH), but with longer serials such as this one, it becomes draggingly obvious to those who can notice
