Summary
Heat cycles were one of those things that Deadlock would prefer he just not have to deal with, but with a healthy frame and energon to spare, his code has decided for him that now is a perfect time. It's not the first time he's had to go to ground to wait out a heat cycle, or make himself scare when someone triggered a rut cycle. Unfortunately for him, it is the first time that someone has found him and chased him down. He would never forgive Prowl for what he had done.

Rodimus watched the actions, his grin unwavering. “Yeah, I probably smell weird to you,” he said, his voice relaxed and conversational. “All that polish and hot metal. Not exactly ‘fresh ocean breeze,’ I bet.” He gestured vaguely with his chin toward his own torso. “And this must look even stranger. Clothes. Can’t imagine you have much use for them down there.”
Getaway’s optics narrowed at the stream of words, the clicks from earlier replaced by a low, guttural hum that vibrated through the mer’s chest and into Rodimus’s. It was impossible to tell if it was a sign of understanding or annoyance. The mer’s hand abandoned the fabric of the shipsuit and moved upward, his fingers tracing the line of Rodimus’s collar.

“I-I distinctly remember you vowing to never again kneel before a Prime,” Optimus said, his optics darting all over Megatron’s form, the mighty frame that struck fear in the sparks of his enemies made small, but no less strong, in the privacy of their berthroom.
“I did make a vow to that effect in the past,” Megatron agreed, pulling away with a grin, “of course, that was before I knew you would become one. If I had known, perhaps I would have phrased it differently. Now, why don’t you open your panels so I can show you why I’m on my knees for my Prime?”
OR
In a world where Orion became Optimus much sooner and somewhat against his will, he and Megatronus led a revolution together as conjunx endurae. After, while rebuilding Cybertron, Optimus Prime worries that Megatron won't be attracted to him in his new frame.
He has nothing to worry about.
