“Hi,” Hirose replies happily. He points at Nakamura’s chest, a questioning look in his eyes. “Where… have you been?”
Nakamura’s mind goes blank. “Uh…”
“I haven’t… seen you,” Hirose says slowly.
Nakamura stares at him, catching a whiff of his breath. It’s only occurring to him now—Hirose is very, very drunk.

He doesn’t get to finish before Regect’s hands grab hold of his shoulders, his claws sharp even through the fabric of his clothes.
“So you know?” Regect asks, “Then you gotta be able to guess how fuckin’ annoying it is to hear you from across the house even if you’re not talking.”
Or, Regect is a vampire, and he’s got a craving for his best friend.

—¡Sé que eres tú! —Hirose alzó su brazo tratando de alcanzarlo —¡Te vi!
Nakamura aceleró tratando de llegar a la salida, no planeaba detenerse por nada en el mundo, eso hasta que oyó un ruidoso golpe acompañado de un quejido. Hirose estaba demasiado concentrado persiguiendo a su objetivo, sus pies se enredaron entre las mangueras y cayó sin gracia hacia adelante. Nakamura no pudo ir en contra de sus instintos y regresó rápidamente para ayudarlo a levantarse.
—¡Te tengo!
Hirose extendió su mano y agarró con fuerza la manga de Nakamura. El pelinegro lo miró exasperado y suspiró resignado. Hirose por su parte no podía contener su sonrisa, se sentía victorioso. Un pequeño hilo de sangre se deslizó por su nariz y Nakamura soltó un chillido alarmado.
...
Hirose pierde contacto con Nakamura cuando entra a la universidad. Finge que todo está bien y no le importa, pero todos tiene un límite. Cuando va a recoger un pedido de peonías como un favor y vuelve a ver a Nakamura no está dispuesto a dejarlo ir.
Aunque es más bien Hirose descubriendo cosas de sí mismo y haciendo algo al respecto.
