Summary
An Eridian and Human are in it for the long haul. Two very different species are stuck in a tin can of a spaceship with a lifesaving amoeba. The stressors of the mission start to set in along with homesickness and stir-craziness. Rocky is haunted by the memory of his dead crew and the paranoia of 46 years in soundless halls. At any moment Grace could die, or he could and it would be all his fault. Grace cannot forget that he is not who he thought he was and that there are still parts of himself he cannot remember. And what if Rocky found out? His only friend would hate him forever. That was if he didn’t starve to death beforehand.

Summary
The arrival at Erid is a momentous occasion. Rocky is excited and thrilled. Ryland is overwhelmed. But the reunion is happy, beautiful, amazing.
Or that's what it should have been. Except Rocky gets hurt, Ryland is left to try and communicate with an alien planet, and everyone is scrambling to figure out how to do this. To Grace, this is incredible but also bittersweet - he got Rocky home safely with the taumoeba, now he just gets... to starve. To Erid, this is insane - how did Rocky show up in an alien spaceship with a child???

Ryland Grace is stuck trying to speak Eridian, immediately makes himself sound like a child, and Rocky's world and family scramble to help this strange pebble. Misunderstandings galore, alongside hurt/comfort and angst and fluff.

Rocky sat in his xenonite ball, his legs tucked up and asleep in an attempt to speed up healing from an accident. Rocky is asleep. Rocky is sleeping and injured and Grace's only way of effectively communicating with unknown Eridians is broken.
"Aw shoot! This absolutely can get worse!"

Summary
Seeing it in person makes my throat tighten.
I’m glad I’m alone. I can’t control the slight tremble in my hand and I’m not sure if it’s fear or grief, but there's something bubbling under my chest.
Grace died over a decade ago. I killed him. I know that.
I’ve had 26 years to sit alone in a cell with that. That and every other outcome.
But for some reason instead of touching the beetle I’m frozen wondering if perhaps Grace had touched it too.

TLDR: Stratt goes through the logs from the beetles and has to save the world. A bit of a shock to her.
