Summary
Apollo is hanging out around camp half-blood when he abruptly says that someone needs him. No explanation given, not even the vaguest clue. He walks straight into the woods with a promise to return at a later date.
Percy, ever curious, decides to follow him -in hopes of spotting the ‘someone’ is question, or even just get some sort of explanation for Apollo's sudden need to find and help this someone.
Percy does not find what he expects, not at all. He is left in the wooded spot he’d hidden in as he watched the… surprising (though heart-warming), exchange on the shores of the lake, addled and worried for one of the only gods apart from his dad and (kind of) Apollo that he even slightly respects.
His ever-changing view of the gods is about to get stranger.

The smell of strawberries was only growing more powerful by the second. The smell was so overwhelming I almost felt dizzy.
I stepped away from my stuff. I swallowed heavily, as I began to speak my voice came out far weaker than intended “Hello? Um- Whoever’s there- show yourself!”

genuinely the most beautifully heart destroying fic I have ever read, do take the TWs seriously they are NO. JOKE. But this is really well written, with a gripping plot, the right amount of torture and suffering, very good depiction of how healing is non-linear and how trauma can affect someone, and perhaps my favourite ending of anything I have ever read, AND there’s a sequel coming, if none of the tags are known triggers to you and angst and pain is what your looking for I highly recommend thisss :)

Summary
Stopped prematurely during his tantrum, Caine is locked away in a blank, cramped room and chained up while stuck in his broken avatar and suddenly shut off from the rest of the Circus. Starving for data and interaction, our beloved ringmaster is almost entirely isolated and abandoned, becoming nothing more than a painful memory for the cast.
Surely this won't have any consequences.
