Summary
Dragons are fire made flesh. Targaryens claim themselves closer to gods than men, being that they alone could command such beasts. Viserys, often teased for his mild disposition, was never once likened to a dragon. Yet, it was he, rather than his hot-headed brother or judicious cousin, that was blessed with a dream.
A self-indulgent fic for all the supporters of the Green Faction. This story follows Viserys as he reflects upon his deceased wife, gets a second chance to find love with his second wife, and starts his relationships with his children over. It's not really a 'bashing' fic, but it doesn't pay much kindness to Daemon, Rhaenyra or Aemma. This is purely for plot-driving purposes. There are many fics hailing Aemma as Mother Mary, and Rhaenyra as Jesus come again. Go read one of them if the tags get you salty. I take what I want from the books and show and twist the rest. No AI, and I do the proofreading myself... so, sorry if it sucks.
BTW: I love responding to comments, so, in the spirit of transparencey, know that the real comment count is half of what you see. Let me know if you know how to private message back to a comment or if it has to stay with the others.

A mind carrying the memories of every future betrayal, invasion, and winter storm awakens behind the green eyes of the golden-haired heir to the Iron Throne. Armed with this unnatural foresight, Joffrey Baratheon turns his back on the whispered flatteries of the court to grip the heavy iron shaft of a warhammer and draft the blueprints for a terrifyingly absolute empire.
