    Jedi Knight Obi-Wan Kenobi is left without backup, without guidance, and without a home to return to after the Jedi Temple falls. With a gaggle of children now relying upon him to protect their future as the Sith Empire rises, he must grapple with his complicated history and return to Mandalore. He is more than aware that as a Jedi, many Mandalorians would be happy to kill him without mercy, the only comfort is his familiarity with their culture, that even if they kill him, at least they will protect the children, and that ultimately has to be enough.

    Summary:

    When Obi-Wan dies by Anakin's hand, he expects that to be the end.

    It is not.

    When he opens his eyes again, all of thirteen but with forty extra years of experience, not even the dust, dread, and death on Melidaan can stand in his way. Obi-Wan had seen the worst that the galaxy had to offer twice over - he'll be damned if he lets everything happen the same way for the second time.

    After returning from Melida/Daan Padawan Kenobi gets put on probation. After one too many arguments with his Master, who is clearly reluctant to take him back, surrounded by suspicion of his fellow Jedi and the Council, he decides that they were all right. He is not a Jedi material. He decides that his fate lies beyond the Jedi Order and he runs, landing on the streets of Coruscant’s Lower Levels.

    Meanwhile, Dexter Jettster, an ex-arms dealer tired of a life of crime, finally opens his long-awaited dream, Dex’s Diner. One chance encounter behind the Diner’s trash bins changes both of their lives (and possibly the fate of the Galaxy) forever.

    Grace doesn't have a very good estimation of himself. He has no idea how much people genuinely like him, especially (most) of the people involved in this project. Ikukhina meets him, finds him adorable, and immediately decides to adopt him. Yáo is the only one who can even somewhat contain her but finds himself also somehow adopting Grace in the process.

    Then Grace wakes up with amnesia.

    What happens when Grace remembers he was sent against his will? What happens when he still meets Rocky first, they still have to go to Erid, and now the three of them have to duke it out for custody/best friend rights of Grace?

     

    Updates every other day and has a heavy focus on the initial trio friendship before Rocky shows up, so it'll be a while before we meet our favorite alien spider rock

    Mindy Park is rapidly realising that the first intelligent extraterrestrial to make contact with the human race thinks they’re fucking stupid. She’s pretty sure that Dr Grace isn’t accurately translating half the things Rocky is saying, but most of what he is telling her is that Rocky has a better way of doing what NASA wants them to do, and honestly, it seems like Rocky is mostly right. She probably doesn’t want to know what the other half of what Grace’s new alien friend is saying, if the things that are making it through what she’s calling the “middle school teacher filter” are “why would you do something the dumb way when you could do it the right way”.

    or,

    Mindy has a headache, Grace has trauma, Mark is confused and Rocky is wondering how humans made it in to space when they're all so, so dumb.
