    Medical student Jayce Talis makes a huge mistake that gets him kicked out of his residency program. The very night he wants to end it all, he stumbles across a mysterious website: thecommune.group. It's an experimental self help program led by the alluring Dr. Viktor Mrkos that promises to improve the lives of any man, no matter how reprehensible.

    With nothing left to lose, Jayce signs up for a six month stay on the Commune's remote island rehab center.

    Surely everything will work out. So what if the guys all dress the same and wear weird dog collars?

    It's not the slasher flick, it's the equally gore-y psychological thriller where he definitely has to survive and now it's just a question of how far he's willing to go to achieve that goal. Even now he's staring at the crude implements he's been provided and his chained ankle. His bad leg. Bane of his existence and cause of roughly half his problems on any given day. Whoever had put him here clearly knew about it. That's why his very expensive, very painstakingly acquired medical device that got him through the day to day lay in tatters right next to him on the grimy off-blue tiles. Not just removed, but cut into pieces and unusable forevermore. The shackle that had already begun to cut into the skin at his ankle wasn't rusted yet, but the iron was dirty. Who the fuck still uses iron shackles anyway? The detail almost takes him out of the reality of the situation entirely. He tried to shake the tremor out of his hands when he gripped the rickety hacksaw in uncertain fingers.

    The message is clear; if it bothers you so much, Cut it off.
