He knew all the effort Riley was putting into making him feel better whenever his train of thought would take dangerous routes. He was hoping he was doing his best to help her too. What had happened was hard on her too. She needed someone to cheer her up. But that was the thing with them. Each making the other feel better was what they needed to bounce back from their depressive thoughts.

Benn squints. "That's not a person, is it?"
"Can't be," Shanks says, then pauses. "In the Grand Line, maybe, but that sort of thing doesn't happen in the East Blue."
"Not reassuring, Captain," Benn says dryly.
