“God, shut up Pony, I’m not that bad,” Mark was saying to the youngest Curtis. But, despite his words, he was smiling. Bryon could tell he wasn’t drunk, though, so why the hell was Curtis making him so happy?
“I’m just saying,” Curtis huffed, leaning forward towards Mark, “if you opened a book for once in your goddamn life, you might find something you like!”
Mark scoffed, “Pone. Pony. Ponyboy. Have you met me?”
Curtis sighed dramatically and collapsed against Mark's side. “Unfortunately, my dear Mark,” he said, looking up at him with puppydog eyes, “yes, I can say that I have.”
Mark shoved him off and rolled his eyes. He was still smiling.
