So, Eddie thinks he might hate Frank's office.
It's not that he has anything against the guy's design choices, per se. The gray couch, white knit cushion covers, and perfectly drab rug are certainly… fine. But as Eddie sits on the couch, sinking deeper in every second, eyes landing on the walnut desk tucked into the corner as he pointedly avoids chancing a glance at Frank, his skin crawls. He's 27, punching his problems so hard he nearly kills a man. He's 29, holes in his wall and bags under his eyes, wondering what the point of it all is. He's 32, his son lives three states away, and he's blown his life up again.
He's 34, and he knows Frank's office has been the backdrop that has punctuated the worst moments of Eddie's life. So he hates it.
Or; In the months after getting stabbed in a hospital chapel, Eddie's back in therapy. He's throwing up in churches. He's dissociating in elevators. He's being reckless on the job. And somewhere in that mess he maybe realizes he isn't quite as broken as he thought.
