Thalia’s in downtown Georgetown when, out of the corner of her eye, she sees a flash of blond hair and a crooked nose. Her head whips around. It's too early, he can't be back yet--
It's not Jason.
The girl on the TV in the middle of downtown has the same color eyes and hair, the same nose. Hell, minus the scar, their smiles are identical.
But she's not Jason. According to the news anchor, she's Wonder Girl, a newly debuted teen superhero who works with Wonder Woman.
Thalia can see that.
Thalia can see her working next to Diana to defeat a fucking purple gorgon.
Diana, who promised after that bizarre incident 5 years ago that there were no more secrets, no more lies, no more bullshit--
Thalia throws up in a nearby alley.

Bernard Dowd was, frankly, lucky to have survived the Dionysus pain cult quest. Lucky him, he got to be the event depicted on the camp bead. Unlucky him, that means when Percy takes up a quest that puts him in Gotham City, Bernard ends up on his list of 'people to ask to take up the quest'.
