    War is over. Peace is propagating Panem. Irregardless, deep in the decimated ruins of District 12, a peaceful future promises to be nothing more than a pipedream for its resident Victors.

    Languishing in self-pity or wallowing in self-hatred, both Katniss and Peeta are active participants in a dance of avoidance. Self-sabotaging, refusing to acknowledge how visceral their desire for contact is, both are culpable of hiding behind misguided semblances of self-protection. Privately pining, as days mount to months, their only communication is via an intermediary. Although, after vanquishing a variety of dissociative thoughts and feelings, as pieces of the puzzle fall into place, Peeta and Katniss serendipitously find themselves brought together.

    Sequestered away, confronting complex emotions and fragmented memories, perspectives shift in a solitary Spring night. Consequently, bolstered by a caring community, Katniss and Peeta commence navigating the growing pains of growing back together.

    Relationships are forged, families are found, and flourishing on the horizon, a serene future patiently waits.
