‘What's your favourite movie?'
Malfoy looks thoughtful, then he turns his gaze to Harry consideringly.
'At the moment it's probably a tie between Shrek and Brokeback Mountain.'
Harry just stares for a moment before he bursts into laughter. He pictures Malfoy watching Shrek and tears roll down his face. Then he pictures Malfoy watching Brokeback Mountain and he's still laughing but also wondering if Malfoy has actually watched those films. He wipes the tears from his eyes as his breathing slows.
'Good one Malfoy,' he adds lightly.
'I wasn't joking,' Malfoy replies, even-toned.
Harry gapes, stunned more than momentarily.
'You... you weren't joking? Your favourite movies are Shrek and Broke- Brokeback Mountain?' He asks, eyes bulging out of his head incredulously. 'Seriously?'
'I'm deadly serious. Deadly in the sense that if you tell anyone about this you'll wind up dead.'Harry and Draco are trapped together, with plenty of time for Harry's fantasies to make themselves known.

One, of course, was his Hermione.
The other was blonder, sharper and less of a girl but sounding just like her.
Or the war is over and Harry thought he would be free but suddlenty he finds himself attending an exceptional eight year where Hermione decided to befriend sodding, bloody Malfoy. And Harry, as usual, had no choice but to live with the consequences.
